Description

A vibrant and satisfying taco salad that combines crunchy textures and bold flavors, perfect for casual meals or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade)
  • 4 cups lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup corn (canned or cooked)
  • 1 cup black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 cup Doritos, crushed
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • Salsa and sour cream for serving

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning along with the recommended water from the packet instructions. Let it simmer.
  3. While the beef is cooking, prepare the vegetables—chop the lettuce, halve the cherry tomatoes, and dice the avocado.
  4. Once the beef is done, assemble your salad by layering the lettuce, beef, tomatoes, corn, black beans, and cheese in a large bowl or individual serving dishes.
  5. Just before serving, add the crushed Doritos for that perfect crunch and top with avocado. Serve with salsa and sour cream on the side.

Notes

Feel free to swap out any of the veggies or toppings according to your preference. You can also prepare the ground beef in advance for quick assembly.
