Instructions
- Rinse the black eyed peas under cold water, then set them aside.
- In your Instant Pot, sauté the chopped bacon until it becomes crispy and fragrant.
- Toss in the diced ham, onion, and garlic; sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add the rinsed black eyed peas, chicken broth, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the pot.
- Close the lid, ensuring the valve is set to sealing. Cook on high pressure for 35 minutes.
- Once cooking completes, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes before performing a quick release for any remaining pressure.
