Description

A succulent oven baked salmon dish that is easy to prepare and packed with flavor, perfect for weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 2-pound whole salmon fillet, skin-on preferred
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter or olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • Ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and lay the salmon skin-side down.
  2. Fold up the edges of the foil to create a barrier that catches the juices.
  3. In a bowl, mix the melted butter and minced garlic. Brush half of this mixture over the salmon.
  4. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this mixture over the salmon.
  5. Drizzle the remaining butter mixture on top.
  6. Bake for 15-22 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

To keep leftovers fresh, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze tightly wrapped.
