Description
A succulent oven baked salmon dish that is easy to prepare and packed with flavor, perfect for weeknights or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 2-pound whole salmon fillet, skin-on preferred
- 3 tablespoons melted butter or olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon ground paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and lay the salmon skin-side down.
- Fold up the edges of the foil to create a barrier that catches the juices.
- In a bowl, mix the melted butter and minced garlic. Brush half of this mixture over the salmon.
- In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this mixture over the salmon.
- Drizzle the remaining butter mixture on top.
- Bake for 15-22 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
To keep leftovers fresh, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze tightly wrapped.
