Description

Tender and juicy chicken legs cooked in a rich BBQ sauce, perfect for casual dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 6-8 chicken legs (thighs and drumsticks)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep the chicken: Rinse and pat dry the chicken legs. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create a spice rub.
  2. Season: Rub the spice mixture evenly over the chicken legs for maximum flavor.
  3. Place in the slow cooker: Arrange the seasoned chicken legs in the slow cooker.
  4. Add sauce: Pour the barbecue sauce over the chicken, ensuring they’re well-coated.
  5. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  6. Serve: You can serve them straight from the slow cooker, or for a crispy finish, place them on a baking sheet and broil for 3-5 minutes after cooking.

Notes

Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Consider marinating the chicken overnight for extra flavor.
