Ingredients
- 2 cups of chicken breast, diced
- 1 cup of long-grain white rice
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (sharp cheddar)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of dried parsley
Instructions
- In your Crock Pot, combine the diced chicken, rice, chicken broth, onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and parsley. Stir them together until well mixed.
- Cover the pot and let it cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the rice is tender.
- Once done, stir in the shredded cheese and allow it to melt in.
- Serve warm and enjoy the comforting flavors!
Notes
For a creamier consistency, incorporate a splash of heavy cream right before serving.
