Description

A comforting and easy-to-make dish combining tender chicken and fluffy rice, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups of chicken breast, diced
  • 1 cup of long-grain white rice
  • 4 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (sharp cheddar)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of dried parsley


Instructions

  1. In your Crock Pot, combine the diced chicken, rice, chicken broth, onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and parsley. Stir them together until well mixed.
  2. Cover the pot and let it cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the rice is tender.
  3. Once done, stir in the shredded cheese and allow it to melt in.
  4. Serve warm and enjoy the comforting flavors!

Notes

For a creamier consistency, incorporate a splash of heavy cream right before serving.
