Description

Hearty slow-cooked beef sandwiches with zesty spices and fresh toppings, perfect for gatherings and cozy family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 6 sandwich rolls
  • Toppings: shredded cheese, sliced jalapeños, pickles, or coleslaw (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the beef chuck roast on all sides with the onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, black pepper, salt, and cumin.
  2. Place the seasoned beef into the slow cooker and pour the beef broth over it.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 480 minutes, or until the beef is fork-tender.
  4. Shred the beef with two forks directly in the slow cooker, mixing it with the juices.
  5. Serve generous portions of the shredded beef on sandwich rolls, adding your choice of toppings.

Notes

For best flavor, consider searing the beef before slow cooking. Variations with BBQ sauce or salsa can add unique twists.
