Description

Tender chicken enveloped in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 cup of honey
  • ½ cup of soy sauce (or gluten-free alternative)
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of freshly grated ginger (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger if using.
  2. Place the chicken in the slow cooker, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Pour the honey-garlic mixture over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  5. Shred the chicken if desired and stir in some of the sauce for additional flavor.

Notes

For maximum flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the honey-garlic mixture overnight before cooking. For an extra layer of texture, broil the shredded chicken briefly after cooking.
