Description

Tender chicken thighs simmered in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Green onions (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sear the chicken: Heat a tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the thighs with salt and pepper, then sear them for about 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  2. Prepare the sauce: In a bowl, mix together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. If you’re using ginger, add it in here too.
  3. Combine in the slow cooker: Place the seared chicken thighs in the slow cooker. Pour the honey garlic mixture over the top.
  4. Cook: Cover and set the slow cooker on low for about 4 to 5 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Serve: Once done, garnish with chopped green onions and enjoy!

Notes

For the best results, sear the chicken before placing it in the slow cooker to enhance the flavor. You can also thicken the sauce if necessary by simmering it on the stove after cooking.
