Description

A flavorful honey mustard chicken dish slow-cooked to perfection, combining sweet and tangy flavors for a delightful meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup mustard (Dijon or yellow)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix honey, mustard, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken in the slow cooker and pour the marinade over it, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  3. Cover and cook on low for about 360 minutes (6 hours) or on high for about 180-240 minutes (3-4 hours), until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  4. Shred the chicken in the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the flavors to meld even more.

Notes

This dish is versatile; it pairs well with rice, quinoa, or mashed potatoes. For variety, try adding vegetables like carrots or sweet potatoes to the slow cooker.
