Description

A delectable slow-cooked chicken dish enveloped in a rich, creamy sauce, perfect for cozy dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or a lighter cream alternative)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a skillet and brown the chicken on both sides for about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Whisk together heavy cream, chicken broth, garlic, Italian seasoning, and sun-dried tomatoes in the slow cooker until well combined.
  4. Add the browned chicken to the slow cooker, ensuring it’s submerged in the sauce.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  6. Serve the chicken with creamy sauce spooned over, garnished with fresh basil or parsley.

Notes

For best results, use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F (75°C). Fresh herbs add a lovely finish and can enhance flavor.
