Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
- Fresh herbs (optional)
- Seasonings (salt, pepper, and others to taste)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper, shaping into patties.
- Sear the patties in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- In the slow cooker, layer the sliced onions at the bottom, then place the beef patties on top.
- Pour in beef broth and add the minced garlic.
- Spread the cream of mushroom soup over the patties, then cover with shredded cheese.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until everything is well combined and the patties are tender.
Notes
For added depth of flavor, sauté the onions and garlic in a skillet before adding them to the slow cooker.
