Description

A comforting slow-cooked beef dish with rich flavors and hearty toppings, perfect for family gatherings and weeknight meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
  • Fresh herbs (optional)
  • Seasonings (salt, pepper, and others to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper, shaping into patties.
  2. Sear the patties in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  3. In the slow cooker, layer the sliced onions at the bottom, then place the beef patties on top.
  4. Pour in beef broth and add the minced garlic.
  5. Spread the cream of mushroom soup over the patties, then cover with shredded cheese.
  6. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until everything is well combined and the patties are tender.

Notes

For added depth of flavor, sauté the onions and garlic in a skillet before adding them to the slow cooker.
