Description

Elegant smoked salmon crostini topped with creamy chive cheese, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 French baguette, cut into ½ inch slices
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 8 ounces whipped chive cream cheese
  • 4 ounces Nova lox salmon
  • ¼ red onion, very thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Everything But the Bagel seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped chives or scallions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush each slice lightly with extra virgin olive oil.
  3. Bake the slices for about 10-12 minutes until crisp and golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.
  4. Generously spread whipped chive cream cheese on each toasted baguette slice.
  5. Layer a slice of Nova lox salmon on top of the cream cheese.
  6. Add a few thin slices of red onion atop the salmon, then sprinkle with Everything But the Bagel seasoning.
  7. Garnish each crostini with finely chopped chives or scallions. Serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftover crostini in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, keeping toppings separate to maintain crispiness.
