Description
A quick and easy smoked salmon dish featuring bright lemon and fragrant garlic, perfect for summer gatherings or cozy family meals.
Ingredients
- 1 fresh salmon filet
- 1 lemon
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Olive oil
- Fresh herbs (optional, like dill or parsley)
Instructions
- Preheat your smoker or grill to a low temperature, ideally between 180-200°F.
- Season the salmon filet generously with salt, black pepper, and minced garlic for flavor.
- Squeeze the juices of half a lemon over the seasoned salmon.
- Place the salmon onto the smoker or grill. Smoke for 20-30 minutes, or until it reaches your preferred level of doneness.
- After cooking, remove the salmon from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.
- For an added touch, garnish with lemon slices and fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
If you’re out of fresh garlic, garlic powder can serve as a convenient substitute. Allow the salmon to rest post-cooking to retain moisture.
