Description

A quick and easy smoked salmon dish featuring bright lemon and fragrant garlic, perfect for summer gatherings or cozy family meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 fresh salmon filet
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh herbs (optional, like dill or parsley)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker or grill to a low temperature, ideally between 180-200°F.
  2. Season the salmon filet generously with salt, black pepper, and minced garlic for flavor.
  3. Squeeze the juices of half a lemon over the seasoned salmon.
  4. Place the salmon onto the smoker or grill. Smoke for 20-30 minutes, or until it reaches your preferred level of doneness.
  5. After cooking, remove the salmon from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.
  6. For an added touch, garnish with lemon slices and fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

If you’re out of fresh garlic, garlic powder can serve as a convenient substitute. Allow the salmon to rest post-cooking to retain moisture.
