Ingredients
- 1 pound of cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup of cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 sheet of refrigerated puff pastry (or biscuit dough)
- Egg wash (1 egg beaten with a splash of water)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix until fully combined.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into squares.
- Place a generous spoonful of the chicken mixture onto the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to create a triangle. Seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with the egg wash for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
Notes
Feel free to use leftover chicken or rotisserie chicken for added convenience. For a vegetarian option, swap the chicken for sautéed vegetables.
