Description

Delightful baked chicken pillows filled with creamy cheese and wrapped in flaky pastry, perfect for cozy gatherings or dinner parties.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound of cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 sheet of refrigerated puff pastry (or biscuit dough)
  • Egg wash (1 egg beaten with a splash of water)
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix until fully combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into squares.
  4. Place a generous spoonful of the chicken mixture onto the center of each square.
  5. Fold the pastry over the filling to create a triangle. Seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops with the egg wash for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.

Notes

Feel free to use leftover chicken or rotisserie chicken for added convenience. For a vegetarian option, swap the chicken for sautéed vegetables.
