Description

A delightful combination of sweetness and spice, this Spicy Honey-Lime Chicken is perfect for any occasion, whether a weeknight dinner or a holiday feast.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil (for grilling or baking)

Instructions

  1. Mix honey, lime juice, minced garlic, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Let it soak for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. If grilling, brush the grill with olive oil, place the chicken on it, and grill for about 7-8 minutes on each side, until fully cooked.
  5. If baking, arrange the chicken on a baking sheet and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken thighs with chicken breasts or tofu. Marinate overnight for deeper flavor.
