Description
Delightful bite-sized appetizers of creamy spinach dip wrapped in flaky puff pastry, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 bag frozen chopped spinach (10 oz), thawed and squeezed dry
- 1 block cream cheese (8 oz), soft
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- A pinch of red pepper flakes (for heat)
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but still cold
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Instructions
- Combine the softened cream cheese, Parmesan, mayo, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Fold in the drained spinach until evenly combined.
- Lightly flour your counter and roll out the cold puff pastry. Spread the spinach mixture across the pastry, leaving one edge clear to seal the roll.
- Roll the pastry tightly from the filled edge, creating a log.
- Wrap the log in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- Once chilled, slice the log into ½-inch rounds and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Beat the egg with a splash of water and brush it atop each pinwheel.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
