Description

Delightful bite-sized appetizers of creamy spinach dip wrapped in flaky puff pastry, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen chopped spinach (10 oz), thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 block cream cheese (8 oz), soft
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • A pinch of red pepper flakes (for heat)
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but still cold
  • 1 egg (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Combine the softened cream cheese, Parmesan, mayo, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. Fold in the drained spinach until evenly combined.
  3. Lightly flour your counter and roll out the cold puff pastry. Spread the spinach mixture across the pastry, leaving one edge clear to seal the roll.
  4. Roll the pastry tightly from the filled edge, creating a log.
  5. Wrap the log in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  7. Once chilled, slice the log into ½-inch rounds and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Beat the egg with a splash of water and brush it atop each pinwheel.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
