Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon (for the streusel)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, then add milk and vanilla, mixing well.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to wet ingredients until combined.
- In a separate bowl, prepare the streusel by mixing flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter until crumbly. Stir in nuts if you’re using them.
- Pour the batter into the pan and sprinkle the streusel mixture on top.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- Allow cooling before serving.

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a delightful treat. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
