Description

A hearty baked dish combining ground beef, pepperoni, and fresh vegetables, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 cup Pepperoni slices
  • 2 Bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce
  • 2 cups Shredded cheese, your choice
  • 1 Pie crust, store-bought or homemade
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add garlic and onion to the beef, sauté until fragrant and onions are translucent.
  4. Stir in chopped bell peppers, followed by pepperoni, tomato sauce, and seasonings. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer the meat mixture into the pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  6. Top with shredded cheese and cover with another layer of pie crust. Seal edges; cut slits in the top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute the beef with finely chopped mushrooms and textured vegetable protein.
