Description

A delicious and effortless crockpot meal featuring tender chicken in a sweet and tangy honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ketchup, and ground ginger.
  2. Place the chicken into your crockpot and pour the honey garlic mixture over it, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  3. Add salt and pepper according to your taste.
  4. Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or high for 3 to 4 hours.
  5. Gently shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the sauce.
  6. Plate the chicken over a bed of rice or noodles, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with tofu. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
