Description

A hearty stuffed meatloaf that combines traditional flavors with a gooey cheese surprise in the center, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Ground Beef
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 Cup Italian Bread Crumbs
  • 1/4 Cup Onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Green Pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey BBQ Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 2 to 3 Slices Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 Cup Sharp Shredded Cheese
  • 1 Cup Ketchup
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Honey BBQ Sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, bread crumbs, chopped onion, chopped green pepper, egg, Honey BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and milk.
  3. Mix thoroughly, using your hands to blend the ingredients until well integrated.
  4. Shape the mixture into a football shape, then press down gently in the center, creating a 4-inch cavity.
  5. Place the mozzarella cheese slices inside the cavity, covering them with the meat mixture from the sides.
  6. Transfer the stuffed meatloaf onto a lined baking sheet or into a loaf pan.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, salt, pepper, and garlic powder for the meatloaf sauce. Spread this mixture evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  9. Allow it to rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve with extra ketchup or Honey BBQ sauce. Pairs well with creamy mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.
