Description

Crispy halloumi wraps infused with sweet and spicy flavors, perfect for quick meals and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz halloumi cheese, sliced ½-inch thick
  • 24 tortilla wraps (flour, flatbread, or gluten-free)
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cucumber, julienned
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced
  • 12 lettuce leaves
  • 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional toppings: avocado, fresh herbs (cilantro, parsley), pickled vegetables

Instructions

  1. Prepare Halloumi: Slice the halloumi into even pieces. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, fry the halloumi for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Prep Vegetables: While the halloumi is cooking, slice your bell pepper, julienne the cucumber, and thinly slice the red onion. Tear the lettuce leaves to keep them fresh and crisp.
  3. Assemble Wraps: Spread sweet chili sauce over each tortilla wrap. Layer with the crispy halloumi, followed by the colorful vegetables and any additional toppings.
  4. Wrap It Up: Fold the bottom edge of the wrap over the filling, then roll or fold the sides to create a burrito-style wrap.
  5. Extras: For added texture, lightly toast the wraps in the skillet or oven until warm and crispy. Serve immediately for best results.

Notes

For extra crispy halloumi, consider coating it in cornstarch before frying. These wraps are great for meal prep!
