Description

A quick and easy dish featuring salmon fillets enhanced with a rich brown sugar and garlic glaze, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets Salmon (Fresh salmon fillets)
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar (Can be swapped with honey or maple syrup)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce (Use tamari or coconut aminos for gluten-free)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil (Can be replaced with avocado oil or melted butter)
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice (Fresh is best)
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper (Fresh ground is recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes (Optional, for heat)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley (Chopped)

Instructions

  1. Begin by patting the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and placing them in a shallow dish.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, black pepper, salt, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).
  3. Pour the marinade over the salmon fillets, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes.
  4. In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat until it’s hot, adding a drizzle of olive oil.
  5. Carefully place the salmon fillets in the pan, skin side down (if applicable). Sear for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through and the glaze is caramelized.
  6. Remove the salmon from the pan, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

For even more flavor, add a splash of hot sauce to the marinade. Serve on a bed of jasmine rice or quinoa.
