Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken or turkey
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Rice or noodles, for serving
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the ground meat, cooking until browned and fully cooked.
- Stir in garlic and ginger until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add diced bell pepper and cook until slightly soft.
- Pour in the orange juice, zest, and soy sauce, stirring well.
- Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired, and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving over rice or noodles.
Notes
For maximum flavor, use fresh oranges. Coconut aminos can substitute for soy sauce if desired.
