Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken or turkey
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground meat, cooking until browned and fully cooked.
  3. Stir in garlic and ginger until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add diced bell pepper and cook until slightly soft.
  5. Pour in the orange juice, zest, and soy sauce, stirring well.
  6. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired, and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Notes

For maximum flavor, use fresh oranges. Coconut aminos can substitute for soy sauce if desired.
