Description

A flavorful baked salmon dish with a sweet and savory glaze that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the prepared dish, seasoning them generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and water until well combined.
  4. Pour half of the glaze over the salmon fillets, setting the other half aside for later.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Once cooked, drizzle the reserved glaze over the salmon and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, substitute soy sauce with tamari. Store cooked salmon in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
