Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the prepared dish, seasoning them generously with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and water until well combined.
- Pour half of the glaze over the salmon fillets, setting the other half aside for later.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Once cooked, drizzle the reserved glaze over the salmon and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, substitute soy sauce with tamari. Store cooked salmon in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
