Description

A hearty and comforting dish featuring chicken thighs simmered in a rich beef broth, finished with cream for a delicious and satisfying flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 cups beef broth or stock
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian herbs
  • 1 cup heavy cream or non-dairy alternative
  • Optional: Fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic; sauté until softened.
  2. Season the chicken thighs with paprika, salt, and pepper. Add them to the skillet, cooking until browned on both sides.
  3. Pour in the beef broth, scraping any bits off the bottom of the pan to incorporate those flavors.
  4. Reduce heat and let it simmer, covered, for about 15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, adjusting the seasoning as needed. Let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, marinate the chicken thighs in spices beforehand. For a kick, add red pepper flakes. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
