Description
A comforting and exciting dish featuring juicy chicken breasts enveloped in a rich butter sauce with hints of honey and spices.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts. Sear for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in the chicken broth, stirring to deglaze the pan.
- Stir in the butter mixture, cooking until it becomes smooth.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the chicken to absorb the flavors.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For a different twist, try adding spinach or mushrooms, or top with feta cheese. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
