Description

Delicious homemade Thai Basil Beef Rolls made with savory ground beef and fragrant basil wrapped in rice paper.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • Rice paper wrappers
  • Lettuce leaves (for wrapping, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
  2. Add minced garlic, soy sauce, and oyster sauce to the beef, and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Remove from heat and fold in the fresh Thai basil leaves until they wilt slightly.
  4. Prepare a shallow dish filled with warm water, and dip each rice paper wrapper into the water for about 10 seconds until soft.
  5. Lay the softened wrapper on a flat surface, add a spoonful of the beef mixture and a piece of lettuce, then roll tightly like a burrito.
  6. Repeat until all the wrappers and filling are used.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For best results, use fresh ingredients and avoid soaking rice paper for too long.
