Description

Delicious grilled chicken wrapped with vibrant Asian slaw in a soft tortilla, perfect for meals or snacks.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 4 tortillas (flour or whole wheat)
  • Optional: sesame seeds or crushed peanuts for topping

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, and grated fresh ginger. Add the chicken; marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Cook the chicken: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, until fully cooked.
  3. Prepare the slaw: In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, julienned carrots, chopped green onions, and cilantro. Drizzle with a mixture of soy sauce and sesame oil to dress it.
  4. Assemble the wraps: Slice the cooked chicken and place it over the slaw in each tortilla. Roll it tightly, ensuring everything is packed.
  5. Serve: Optionally top with sesame seeds or crushed peanuts, and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with grilled tofu. Consider serving with peanut sauce or a light salad.
