Description

A comforting breakfast casserole made with flaky croissants, eggs, and savory ingredients, perfect for special occasions or a cozy brunch.

Ingredients

  • 6-8 croissants, torn into pieces
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk (or any non-dairy alternative)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup cooked beef bacon, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer croissant pieces in a greased baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle chopped beef bacon and cheese over the croissants.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the top.
  6. Cover and refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to blend.
  7. The next morning, bake uncovered for about 35 minutes or until golden and set.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

To enhance flavor, try adding herbs like chives or parsley to the egg mixture. For extra crunch, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top before baking. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for longer storage.
