Ingredients
- 4 links Italian sausage (sweet or spicy)
- 4 slices of bacon
- 4 cups kale, chopped
- 4 large potatoes, diced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook the Italian sausage and bacon over medium heat until browned. Remove and set aside, leaving the drippings.
- In the same pot, sauté chopped onions until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Add diced potatoes and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
- Stir in chopped kale, cooked sausage, and bacon. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
