Description

A comforting dish that combines hearty ground beef and melty cheese, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of bread (your favorite type)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion and garlic to the skillet, sautéing until softened.
  3. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes, letting the flavors meld.
  5. Preheat the oven to broil.
  6. Toast bread slices lightly on one side and place them on a baking sheet, toasted side up.
  7. Evenly portion the beef mixture atop the bread, followed by a generous sprinkle of cheese.
  8. Broil in the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep a close eye to prevent burning!

Notes

Serve with a garden salad or crispy potato wedges. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
