Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of bread (your favorite type)
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic to the skillet, sautéing until softened.
- Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
- Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes, letting the flavors meld.
- Preheat the oven to broil.
- Toast bread slices lightly on one side and place them on a baking sheet, toasted side up.
- Evenly portion the beef mixture atop the bread, followed by a generous sprinkle of cheese.
- Broil in the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Keep a close eye to prevent burning!
