- 1 can black-eyed peas, drained and rinsed

- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions
- In a large pot, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic over medium heat until the onion turns translucent.
- Toss in the diced jalapeño and chopped celery. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the rinsed black-eyed peas, vegetable broth, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
