Description

A comforting and flavorful chili that’s perfect for cozy meals and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cans (15 ounces each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat.
  2. Transfer the beef to your crockpot.
  3. Add the chopped onion, garlic, bell pepper, kidney beans, crushed tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours, until the flavors meld.

Notes

This chili can be topped with shredded cheese, sour cream, or fresh cilantro. Serve alongside cornbread or tortilla chips for added enjoyment.
