Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cans (15 ounces each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons chili powder (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat.
- Transfer the beef to your crockpot.
- Add the chopped onion, garlic, bell pepper, kidney beans, crushed tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours, until the flavors meld.
Notes
This chili can be topped with shredded cheese, sour cream, or fresh cilantro. Serve alongside cornbread or tortilla chips for added enjoyment.
