Description

Delicious and easy-to-make canned salmon burgers that are perfect for busy nights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14.75 oz) can salmon, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
  • Optional: burger buns for serving
  • Optional: lettuce, tomato, and onion for serving

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained and flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  4. Gently place the salmon patties in the skillet once the oil is hot. Cook for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crisp.
  5. If necessary, allow the patties to drain on paper towels after cooking.
  6. Serve the salmon burgers on buns (if desired) with toppings or enjoy plain.

Notes

For added flavor, try mixing in fresh herbs like dill or parsley. You can also use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a tangy twist.
